The Ordinary Donny

In the park  the Ordinary Donny  i met him today
As per usual he did not have that much to say
I said hello to him on passing him by
But an inaudible grunt was his only reply

The Ordinary Donny lives an ordinary life
He does not have children or a partner or wife
In his early twenties he lives on his own
And little if anything of him is known

To form friendships as such does not seem his way
He works hard as a boilermaker for his take home pay
His own or the praises of anyone he never sing
The Ordinary Donny he does his own thing

He is not interested in sport or a fan of football
And socializing does not interest him at all
Some of the town's judgmental will tell you he is gay
Though what would they know of the man anyway?

Not one to admire those of great wealth and fame
The Ordinary Donny treats all as the same
