His paintings are worth millions in money today
Yet he only sold one in his lifetime which seems sad to say
Though he died of wounds self inflicted he is now known Worldwide
His love of art that had made him a pauper ended for him in suicide
The Netherland's if not one of the World's greatest artists who lived without a partner or wife
For one of his greatness he deserved a far better life
Always very poor and mentally quite unwell
Life for poor Vincent Van Gogh was an earthly hell
Rated by many as a World all time great arist his art on display
On the walls of the World's great art galleries of today
An artist destined to become famous who died a young man
Nothing in his life for him seemed to go to plan
The artist who created many a millionaire
Though sad to say stories like his are not even rare
In his death of mental anguish he did set himself free
How sad very sad life for some can be.
