The Winners Are Smiling

The winners are smiling on election night
And their supporters are cheering aloud in delight
In politics as in all things in humanity only winning seems to count
And losing to sadness only seems to amount
That winning is most important there can be little doubt
It truly is what all things are mostly about
And though losing is a thing anyone does not choose
For some for to win others do  have to lose
On the election night the winners and their supporters have won the right to cheer
And their cheering grows louder with every wine and beer
The feeling of Joy for the winners is a wonderful thing
They have won the right for to celebrate and sing
The winners and their supporters are celebrating on election night
To brag one can say that they have won the right.
