In the age of self promotion extreme love of self is an in thing
And it has become as normal that people their own praises sing
At social gatherings and parties and wherever people meet
For attention with each other many does like to compete
In the early twenty first century narcissism it is rife
Many see this as quite natural an evolving part of human life
It is those with monstrous egos that the masses celebrate
Those who are humble in their ways nowadays seen as out of date
Many into self promotion narcissistic in their own way
That most of them lack in compassion only does seem true to say
Only think of their own careers they seem narcissistic indeed
In a World of many poor and homeless people humanity of their sort not in need
In the age of self promotion many their own praises sing
People pumping their own egos nowadays seen as in thing.
