Their ancestral myths and legends forever will grow
Yet so little of their history we can claim of to know
Their ancestors had lived in Australia for thousands of years
Until the arrival of the people from the Northlands brought them sorrow and tears
Though others from their ancestral lands reap the financial gain
The honour of Australia's first people with them does remain
And this honour with them forver will stay
One thing that from them cannot be taken away
In modern Australia a first Australian person yet to become a head of State
The descendants of migrants we do celebrate
For a first Australian the honour of Prime Minister or Governor General may never be
Which does not seem at all fair would you not agree?
Their ancestral links to Australia's first people they can trace
And in the southern Land they should command pride of place
But sadly for them this is not the case
Though they will always remain as Australia's first race.
