Dan

On his way home from work in the evening he call into his local pub Dan
Just for a few drinks the down to earth working man
And then home to his dinner to his two young daughters and Ann his wife
One loyal to his marital duties and happy in his life

On his twenty eight year in his physical prime
With his family he spends most of his work free time
As a steel fixer one who works hard for his pay
On building sites for him never an easy day

Working class people like he is the builders of every town
Though they live and die as strangers to renown
Dan a well built man of short clipped hair of brown
Always seems in good spirits yet to see him feeling down

His attractive dark haired wife the beautiful Ann
A loving mother to her children and a good wife to Dan
Often to be seen in the park in the morning of Saturday
In the park children's playground watching their young daughters at their play.
