Galahs known to some as pink and gray cockatoo
Birds i see often though not every day
Quite beautiful to look at in feathers of pink and gray
In a cavity in a trunk high on an old tree
The female lay white eggs often four though sometimes two or three
Of human kind they show a respectable fear
And compared to most other species of cockatoo their calls pleasant to hear
Once seen and once heard you will recognize them again
Often seen on roadsides feeding on spilt grain
Often seen in rural town parks and in the countryside
Galahs have a huge range common Australia wide
Quite beautiful parrots with ways of their own
Galahs in Australia they are widely known.
