To write rhymes one does not need any literary degrees
Just to know that trees always does rhyme well with breeze
And tight in rhyme never does go well with loose
And moose always does seem to go well with goose
Twenty first century literary critics dismiss rhymers as writers of doggerel
Though some who write in rhyme does write rather well
It is true that there are rhymers in every town
Though few of them ever know of even local literary renown
But most of those who write in rhyme never write for wealth and fame
Or in hope that theirs would become a great literary name
And though many do say they are wasting their time
It is just for the love of it they do write rhyme
Anybody can write rhymes or so we are told
But rhymers were the poets of the days of old
