Many Lies Are Told

Am I saying anything that is in any way that is new
When I say dishonest politicians are not in the few
Though many with this would surely disagree
At least anyhow this is how it seems to me
Most politicians are not graceful in any way
About their political opponents they never have nice things to say
To questions from reporters many of them give an evasive reply
And for to lie and embellish most of them are not shy
To say that honest politicians are few would not be a lie
When they leave parliament they can live on their big pensions until the day they do die
There are honest politicians as most would be aware
But for to say the least their sort does seem rare
In Parliament House one thing has not changed since the days of old
At every parliamentary sitting many lies are told.
