This great gift of life is such a wonderful thing
To walk in the park where Nature's birds do sing
And hear the familiar sound of the freshening breeze
Soughing ever gently in the bushes and trees
How nice to be living on a day like today
The rumble of the white surf waves rolling into the bay
When the weather has it's many moods of the Spring
Of the praises of Nature one only can sing
The best things in life to enjoy are free
The beauty in Nature everywhere one does see
A nice breezy evening to be out and about
In early September in the coastal far south
Were I born a poet of such beauty I would write
For lovers of poetry for to read and recite.
