A June Day In The Moyne Shire

Though the sun now appears from behind clouds of gray
It has been a wet and windy and chilly start to the day
And early evening though sunny and dry is on the side of cool
In the coastal countryside between the town of Koroit and the City Of Warrnambool
In June and the depths of Winter quite near
Quite typical weather for the time of year
Though yesterday was mild and sunny and close to twenty degrees
And the magpies were warbling on the sunlit trees
In the early twenty first century the weather Worldwide has been acting strange
And this may be one symptom of Climate Change
Though of late there has not been a shortage of rain
The farm dams remain low in water and many a waterless drain
The morning cool, wet and windy and the afternoon calm and dry
And no warmth in the sun in the blue and gray sky.
