On Donald J Trump

Though in his home Country and Worldwide many of him do not have nice things to say
He is The President of The U S of A
The home of the brave and the land of the free
Though everyone on this would not agree

In his many utterances Donald J Trump in his thinking quite small
Since he obviously does not believe on a fair go for all
Not a friend of those of the lesser god
The stateless, disadvantaged, the homeless and the down-trod

In his own words a misogynist it does seem
By most women a male not held in high esteem
That he has such great power under his command
Is something many find quite hard to understand

Yet even his praise i would reluctantly sing
If he can keep America out of war this would be a great thing
His many human frailties one can forgive
If he can stay true to some things in the meaning of live and let live

Our own images in some of our political leaders we tend to create
To be the leader of a great Country does not necessarily mean you are great
Donald J Trump he is one who believes his own lies
But as a politician as such this does not surprise

Only living saints are perfect and they are quite few
And this is not saying anything that is new
Much of Donald J Trump's behaviour one ought not to condone
But leave it to the one without sin to cast the verbal stone.
