And his own praises he is one who loves to sing
But his only claim to local renown
Is that he is one of the best known braggarts of the town
Davy young and cocky he has just turned twenty three
And you will not find many as arrogant as he
Is since he loves attention though few of him wish to know
And he is not one who has the inner glow
Though for self centeredness he is one who waves the flag
About himself he has not that much to brag
Since for anything he does not even know of local fame
And many in the town do not know of him by name
A chip of the old block like his father Stan
He does fancy himself as a lady's man
And just like his dad he does not have a woman today
Few women with braggarts a lifetime does stay
Like father like son as the wise one does say
Young Davy is quite narcissistic in his way
To talk of himself he is never shy
humility to his sort one cannot apply.
