On a typical windy and showery mid Winter's day
But a gray shrike thrush is whistling in the woodland nearby
A voice that one does not often hear in July
On many of the wattle trees yellow blooms do appear
They bloom from mid Winter to early Spring every year
And the camellias in the garden make for a beautiful sight
In their various flowers of pink, red and white
With the colours of Nature there is none to compare
In all Seasons she has her beauty to share
Wherever I turn to look I always see
Her beauty that is everywhere all around me
Though the rain is drizzling down from an overcast sky
There is beauty in Nature in the southern July
