I am just one of those people who loves penning rhyme
I enjoy nothing better than scribbling away
Adding to my numbers of rhymes every day
Though my worth as a rhymer i have reason to doubt
There are no shortage of things for to write rhymes about
But i leave it to others for literary success to compete
The challenges of day to day living enough for me to meet
For so many years i have been a rhyming buff
I am one who has written a whole heap of stuff
For to be wealthy and famous i have lost the desire
Though of writing rhymes i never seem to tire
If i said i would quit rhyming this would be a lie
Since i hope to be doing it on the day i do die.
