Or of the size of your home or of the size of your car
Or if you are one of those who is known far and wide
Though this to many makes for a sense of pride
What matter more is that you are one who is caring and kind
And in the helping of others is always willingly inclined
What you do for yourself as a person says less about you
Than the good things for other people that you choose to do
Not many millionaires helping the hungry and homeless and the financially down
In refugee camps and the poor of every city and town
The kind and caring the people we ought to admire
But so few to be like them show any desire
Truly compassionate people in the World seem rare
Of the needs of others they are always aware
They happily perform their good deeds every day
And from one in need of helping never look the other way
For your wealth you may be one greatly admired
And for to be like you many you have inspired
On the success ladder you have climbed very far
But this does not tell us of the person you are.
