For many life is a battle is only true to say
There are millions of people in the World today
Homeless and hungry and at night sleeping rough
Even their better times can be rather tough
Like their parents born into life for to battle the odds
The children of the children of the lesser gods
Few of them will live to grow old which does seem sad to say
In a fair Human World it would not be this way
So many poor people only know of the hard life
In the suburbs they live in unemployment is rife
Every day for them some new challenge to meet
There is never much laughter on poverty street
Living on the wrong side of the social divide
Their numbers are on the increase Worldwide.
