From Listening

 From listening he is one who is learning every day

The fellow who never does have that much to say

Yet those who do all the talkiing do not seem to realize

That than they are he is one who is far more wise

Those who are good at talking and others like to impress

Than those good at listening always seem to learn less

The old saying of shut mouth does not catch any flies

Has far more truth in it than most would realize

With their constant chatter a few impressionable admirers they may win

But whilst talking any knowledge they never take in

Those who are good at listening may be of the few

But from listening to others every day they do learn something new

And many of those who love to talk to knowledge have a closed mind

And sadly in the World no shortage of their kind.
