What We Do To Our Earth Mother

 Compared to her achievements the greatest human achievements seem small

Yet we abuse our Earth Mother the one who feeds all

Life forms including us humans yet many of us treat her as an enemy

Greed for her resources could be our downfall is how it seems to be

When we abuse her we are abusing our greatest friend

Since on our very existence on her we depend

Mostly because of us humans many other life forms getting rarer by the day

And this seems a very sad thing for to say

Those who believe we own the land we live off of have got it all wrong

How can we own the land since to the land we belong

And whether we are buried in a cemetery or in a crematoreum into ashes our remains burn

In some form or other to the Earth we will return

It applies to all people including me and you

And what we do to our Earth Mother to our own selves we do

For the appearance of many of Nature's creatures on the endangered list us humans mostly to blame

And this is only to our eternal shame.
