The most contented fellow who lives on our street
For attention with others does never compete
His own praises you never do hear him sing
He lives in his own way and does his own thing
In his mid twenties with a wife and young daughter a carpenter by trade
Of his opportunities in life the most he has made
He whistles in his car driving to and from his job site every day
Any worry or care from him seems far away
The contented fellow loves his young daughter and wife
And he is quite happy with his lot in life
He is not a music fan or any sporting game does not play
Just a family man happy in his own way
One who is free of any conceit or guile
The contented man finds it easy to smile.
