Life is what you make of it as some like to say
But in reality it is not this way
For millions of people who are doing it tough
Who are often hungry and live and sleep rough
Opportunities and life choices seem to pass them by
And life is what you make of it to them does not apply
They never had life choices and opportunity never comes their way
The challenge of survival they face every day
Life is not for what you make of it for those who are financially down
The disadvantaged people on the poor side of the town
The people without a community voice
Of how they live they do not have a choice
Life is what you make of it is for some maybe
But not for the millions in dire poverty.
