The last flowers of Autumn are going to decay
And the first of the southern calendar Winter is only eight sleeps away
In the sunny blue sky just a few clouds of gray
The weather is so pleasant for latter May
With such pleasant weather seems hard to complain
The town parks and gardens looking so green after the recent rain
A magpie is warbling on a sunlit gum tree
And how pleasant to hear the song of the pee wee
In the children's playground the laughter of children at their play
Quite a joyful sound in the memory to stay
A beautiful afternoon for to be out and about for the young and the old
Nature in her greenery is beautiful to behold
The weather so very good for latter May
How nice to be living on such a nice day.
