Gray Headed Fruit Bats

They travel many kilometers from their roosting trees at night
And i often hear them noising in the moonlight
To the orchard owners flying mammals that does not bring them joy
Since some of their fruit they does eat and destroy
Gray headed fruit bats their friends in the few
And this is not saying anything that is new
With fox like heads flying foxes for them a nickname
To be different from most other mammals their one claim to fame
On high branches of the trees in the park of the town
They roost by day always hanging upside down
To an unusual type of mammal they does belong
Though many people does not like them since their odor is strong
From their roosting trees they travel many kilometers at night
In search of fruiting trees these nocturnal mammals of flight.
