You Do Not Have To Travel

From where my life's journey began on the road to elsewhere
I have been in many towns in the big World out there
But of the places i have been to far too many to name
I have found people in most of their ways much the same

In races a cultural difference as most would agree
Which among some people does not lead to harmony
But racists are not extinct in any race
Though for racism in the human mind there should not be any space

I am one who has lived and worked in many a town
And mixed with all races of black, white and brown
You look for the good and the good you will find
Since most people can be compassionate and kind

One without successes of which in to feel pride
I do live far south of my first home countryside
The stay at home people i can only admire
For to leave friends and family they feel no desire

I live far south of my first home town and first home place
where to many today mine would be a stranger's face
But you do not have to travel i have come to realize
For to be wealthy and happy and wise
