In his brown hair there is some of the gray of time
His son twenty four and his daughter of twenty three
In a distant City live them he does not often see
Three years ago he lost the love of Magda his ex wife
This for him was a low point in his life
She is now living with a younger man
They were married for twenty five years of time quite a span
Though of happier times in life of he would have known
Dave is getting used of life on his own
A member and supporter of the local football club
After work in the evening he has a few drinks in the pub
A gentle sort and unassuming in his way
For himself he never has much for to say
A kind and compassionate person who would help you if he could
And would never harm you if he could not do you good
A moral and honest man for to give him his due
To his higher self Dave Preda is true
Though he is one who has known of love's mental pain
Of life's disappointments he never complain.
