And every day of her we learn something new
Even in the City parks her beauty you see
A beauty to view that to all is free
The one who feeds all life forms including you and i
We return to her when our turn comes to die
She is under stress due to our human greed
Of many more friends she is surely in need
Signs of human crimes against her Worldwide do abound
With big machinery to steal her wealth men dig huge holes in the ground
We pollute her oceans and waterways and remove her old growth trees
And the stench of human created pollution is blowing in the breeze
Her amazing flora and fauna free to all to view and enjoy
Yet us humans due to our greed some of her beauty destroy
She was very old before the first humans to her came
The one who feeds us all Mother Earth is her name.
