Flock Of Starlings

A flock of starlings in the gray evening sky
They twist and turn as they quickly fly
To their roosting trees not that far away
After sundown in the twilight of the day
As they fly in a tight knit flock side to side in unison they swing
This is said to be an anti predator thing
By those who of starling ways claim to know
Of Nature's ways my wonder only grow
That they are Nature's survivors none of them can deny
With each passing year their numbers multiply
They are a pest some people of them do say
These birds i happen to see every day
A flock of starlings an amazing sight
As they twist and turn in the fading light.
