Flaxman Street

On the roadway by where many of the deceased of Warrnambool lay
The cars, buses and trucks pass to and fro every day
And though the noisy traffic to them is quite near
In the quietness of the dark earth the dead does not hear
Many of them on the roadway to Warrnambool Town
By the cemetery would have often driven up and down
Everytime we drive by a cemetery we see our own destiny
What is for the deceased will one day be for me
Everytime i drive on Flaxman Street and pass by the cemetery
Rows upon rows of gravestones i do see
One day i too will be laid with the dead
For everyone of them death does lay ahead
From life for all there is a final release
By Flaxman Street many of the deceased of Warrnambool are now at peace.
