But nothing does change and life does go on
For a few years the political opinion polls had the government to lose
But the opinion polls were proven wrong when the voters did choose
The government to hang on to power somehow did succeed
That the favorites do not always win is a truism indeed
But who wins or loses government why should i much care
Since any of the major parties on the issues i believe in do not seem to share
The young candidate i voted for the least number of votes did receive
For the reason that what she believes in i too believe
I too was a loser on election day
But for winners there too must be losers life works in this way
The winners are smiling the losers look sad
But in life one has to take the good with the bad.
