The Top End Of Town

Few scandals on the streets of the financially down
For such stuff you go to the top end of town
Among the wealthy and famous the moral and honourable are few
And this is not saying anything that is new

Where the wealthy man is making love to his supposed to be wealthy friend's wife
In the leafy suburb this is part of every day life
The wealthy man of his wife's infidelities with his wealthy friend unaware
At the top end of town such things are not rare

The top end of town is far nearer to hell
Than the dimly lit streets where the poor people dwell
For far more honourable, moral and trustworthy people live there
In your town no different to anywhere

The people of the top end of town the gullible majority admire
And of singing their praises never seem to tire
That they are not true to honour with their admirers okay
That money speaks every language it doe-s -seem this way

Heaven  is nearer to the financially down
Than to most of those who do live at the top end of town
Where the trustworthy, honest and honourable are few
And this is not saying anything that is new.
