That it is a great privilege goes without doubt
For to live in this wonderful Land of the south
Where the sun on most places does shine every day
Of Australia's rare beauty are there words for to say
Home to wallaby, koala., echidna and many species of cockatoo
And emu kookaburra and red and gray kangaroo
And platypus, rosellas, lorikeets, wombats and currawong
The birds that is said that have rain in their song
Home to the descendants of the Dreamtime Australia's first race
Back to thousands of geneations of people their ancestral history does trace
The arrival in Australia of the first woman and man
Going back in time to pre written history many milleniums does span
It's wide open spaces home to the wild and the free
Australia of the eucalypt, the wattle and the pittosporum tree.
