No joy on meeting one of self conceit
But nice people are always a pleasure to meet
The down to earth friendly person in truth one can say
Never fails for to bring joy to somebody's day
Sad to think that snobbish people are no longer in the few
Though this is not saying anything that is new
When you bid them in passing a good day or hello
Why they are stuck for an answer one does not need to ask why so
Perhaps it is just that they feel superior of mind
To down to earth you of the ordinary kind
Most down to earth people may be strangers to renown
But they are the social foundation of every town
But those who are full of their own self conceit
Are never among the nice people to meet.
