Sad news out of Ballydaly Norrie Guerin has passed away
Quite a nice and caring person of her one can only say
A good mother to her children and to the late John Guerin a good wife
In Duhallow and Sliabh Luachra she lived most of her long life

On the Cork and Kerry border her journey in life began
And in the honourable John Guerin she did marry a good man
Ballydaly without her one can say a poorer place
That life is not forever a sad fact we have to face

But she will be remembered though her life's gift from her has gone
And in everyone who knew her good memories of her will live on
People like her well worth knowing so much goodness in her to admire
To Ballydaly's youth a great role model goodness in life she did inspire

It is a fact of human existence and fact does never lie
That we are born as mortals and mortals are born to die
And even the very thought of death can be a humbling thing
But the praises of good people like Norrie Guerin one should feel happy to sing

Born and raised as Nora Cronin in Sliabh Luachra's mountain countryside
That she lived as a great person of her cannot be denied
In the cemetery in Millstreet of St Mary's in view of Cashman's Hill
Her heart that beat with kindness is sad to say forever still.
