The Cheerful Lady

She is one I see often though not every day
Perhaps in her mid forties in her brown hair some gray
Known as the cheerful lady she never does seem down
One of the happiest people on her side of the town
For unhappiness in her mind there is not any space
She always has a big smile on her lovely face
She shares her joy with others when walking on the street
She is one of those rare people always a joy for to meet
Though she has known her life's crosses and been through times of woe
Since her husband in a work accident died ten years ago
The only offspring their marriage brought in life settled down
Married with two young daughters in a far away town
Quite a happy person she does not have a foe
And joy it is with her wherever she go.
