This Is How Human Life Is

In cold and draughty disused factories bereft of light
So many poor people are sleeping rough tonight
Living it tough and financially down
The homeless and hungry of the poor side of the town

Some of them will not outlive their physical prime
And for drug offences some of them in jail are serving their time
Worldwide there are millions like them in every city and town
Life is only a day to day existence for the financially down

So many like them who are born to die young
Their praises by anyone are never sung
We all ought to be equal since we breathe the same air
But due to circumstance of birth life on so many does seem so unfair

A change of luck for the better does seem far away
And tomorrow for them just one more hungry day
Everyone cannot be a winner as the wise one does say
This is how human life is and will always be this way.
