An August Day In Warrnambool

The day it is drizzly and windy and cool
And the low clouds are grey over old Warrnambool
The chill of late Winter in the freshening coastal breeze
On a weather temperature high for the day of fourteen degrees
Late August quite close to the calendar Spring
How pleasant for to hear a male blackbird sing
When his kind sing in Winter you know Spring is near
Their song it is always so pleasant to hear
Carrying in the breeze the salty taste of sea spray
Blowing up the street from nearby Sting Ray Bay
In Warrnambool with it's many sights of coastal beauty to behold
Even in the depths of Winter the weather seldom ever gets cold
The sky overcast and grey the day drizzly, windy and cool
Typical weather for the time of year in windy Warrnambool.
