Though perhaps i will never visit there again
Fond memories of St Arnaud in me will remain
A big rural former mining Town that does seem so old in time
The type that does inspire the makers of song, story and rhyme
Of ancient stone and brick buildings as buildings go old
nowadays in St Arnaud no mining for gold
One of the bigger Towns in the northern Grampians Shire
Without any big polluting factories which makes it a Town to admire
A Town that on agricultural communities on it's survival depend
With a human population of youth and age that makes for a good blend
Of any major industries St Arnaud does quite well without
It has much going for it for to like about
It's lack of any big factories is Mother Earth's gain
