We all eventually have to die this is obviously clear
But it is only the fear of death that we do fear
The fact of the matter and fact never lie
Is the longer you live the sooner you will die
Our journey in life eventually does end
And Life's Reaper does not treat anyone as a friend
Your lifetime achievements to the one who claims all lives to nothing does amount
How wealthy and famous you are not taken into account
Is there a life for the soul after bodily death
Or does the soul die with us when we draw our last living breath
For an answer to this ask one more enlightened than me
Even the most respected theologians on this disagree
For all of us there is a last night and day
From the reaper of lives no place to hide away
And is there a life for the soul when the body does die
Or is heaven and hell just based on a lie?
