The Football Fans

They always do patronize the local pub
The fans and the members of the town's football club
Seated at the bar tables in small groups they talk of football
And little else matter much to them at all
They talk of the club's chances in the Premiership flag
A win on Grand Final Day would be well worthy of a brag
Their football heroes they greatly admire
And of talking of them never does seem to tire
When the team wins at the weekend in the pub lots of cheer
And the publican happy since they consume more beer
In the pub when laughter one does not hear
That their team did not win does seem obviously clear
They wear their club's scarves and beanies and they love football
And as for their club's football players they do love them all.
