Excitement is mounting among the noisy crowd
And both sets of supporters are hoarse from shouting loud
And all of this because of a game of football
The days of the Coliseum not over at all
The old bloke says what are they shouting about
Of the sanity of football fans one must have some doubt
From the Coliseuim times we have not come that far
Without spears or guns they are on a verbal shouting war
And what are they shouting about one has to say
Tomorrow will just be a memory of today
For the winning team and their fans a good memory for the losers not so
Feeling sad for losing the big game to a footballing foe
The old fellow was smiling with a shake of his head
It looks like the Coliseum days are still with us he said.
