How nice to wake in the morning in your room dawn's grey light
Still in the land of the living for many it was their last night
They did not wake this morning for to see the light of day
The one known as Life's Reaper a visit to them did pay
It is so great to be living for to greet another Spring
Out there in your backyard nesting songbirds chirp and sing
Though each day one nearer to youir last day you are in your life's Fall
It is so good to be living life is so great after all
Many that you went to school with are not living today
Only earth worms are living where their last remains do lay
You have outlived many of them feeling good to be alive
The undertaker for you must wait to take you on your final drive
You are feeling well and happy and of any worries free
And dawn's grey light in your window you are rather glad to see.
