His poetry to his fans as a source of joy does remain

With the best of it's time it surely does compare
From life James Stephens passed many years ago
That his literary works remain underrated happens to be so
With words he was one of those who had a way
And his writing is popular with some today
A writer whose words could make you laugh or move you to tears
The best of his writing has outlived him by years
His literary legacy to his fans remains loved and known
And his style of writing has him in a class of his own.
