Of the passing of a marvellous man on the day that Tuddy died
The Mayor he spoke for everyone Tuddy in life did befriend
Who grieved the passing of a great man whose life had come to an end
He said our Tuddy gone from us never more to be seen
At Irish Festival day in Koroit Town dressed for the day in green
On stage with Tommy and Mick in their hour of Irish song
To the deceased legends of Koroit the great man now belong
The joy that Tuddy felt within with others he did share
People like he was never die they merely go elsewhere
They live again in other minds and happiness share around
For everywhere Tuddy to went joy too did abound
Though Tuddy's name may never appear on a memorial wall
In years from now those who knew him fond memories will recall
Of a kind and gentle and honest man seldom without a smile on his face
Southern Cross and Koroit with him in it was a far happier place
In the Moyne Shire in the living flesh to be seen never more
The Pacific from Tuddy claimed the life off of Killarney shore
An unkind word of anyone he was never heard to say
In Tower Hill cemetery near Koroit his remains at rest lay
The sad look on the Mayor's face said it all grief can be hard to hide
He said Tuddy has gone forever more from his home countryside
From Southern Cross and Illowa the news travelled far and wide
Of the passing of a great man on the day that Tuddy died.
