A chill in the wind blowing uphill from the bay
That is soughing in the branches of the eucalypt trees
On a chilly weather temperature high of only five degrees
Yet the green paddocks resplendent in their flowers of the Spring
And the male blackbirds proclaiming their nesting borders do sing
And the warbling of the birds who sing every day of the year
Of the magpies in the wind and cold showers a joy for to hear
Weatherwise the weather can be unpredictable in early Spring it does seem this way
But in time this does not last long in truth one can say
And when the Nesting birds are singing it is obviously clear
That far warmer days to the Spring must be near
A snap back to winter in truth one can say
A windy, cold and showery September day.
