Dino has lived in Australia for most of his life
Ten times a great grand dad Jody his Australian wife
Passed from life of cancer a decade ago
Which left the poor man under a cloud of woe
Though time is the healer as some like to say
He thinks of his deceased soulmate every day
And weekly he places flowers on her grave and pray
In the grave she is in his last remains too will lay
For six decades he has been a migrant man
In nineteen fifty six he left his home City of Milan
His journey south brought him to Australia's shore
His City of birth for to see never more
Though he speaks English well his Italian accent he retain
This part of the old Country in him does remain
Silver gray hair on his balding head Dino from Milan
In his own charming way is a likeable man
An octogenarian in a one bedroom apartment he lives on his own
In his side of the town he is well liked and well known
Though he looks well for his years in truth one can say
That he is one who has known of a far better day.
