The praises of youth and beauty often sung
But nobody forever stays young
Beauty does fade to time's decay
Life it does work in this way
Of the very old blokes and old dears
Few make it to a century of years
All air breathing creatures including humans are born to die
An eternal life it is based on a lie
The giant tortoise outlive the oldest human by eighty years or more
Among the Earth's longest lived they remain to the fore
But they too do die eventually
This is how life is meant for to be
Few humans live for a century
Eternal life is a myth and a fallacy.
