The fans they are cheering a loud hip hooray
And his ego is swelling the man of the day
With a smile of smugness he waves to the crowd
His game winning goal did have them cheering loud
He is being applauded for playing a great game
And the excited fans they keep chanting his name
But it is true too much praise it can go to one's head
Wisdom of the past truer words never said
In life he has achieved what he has most desired
A multi millionaire sports person by many admired
And for his big ego perhaps his fans are to blame
If i were wealthy with many admirers i like him would be the same
With the look of smugness on his smiling face
In his mind for humility there is not any space.
