Some Wisdom From The Past

Some wisdom from the past is well worthy of recall
Such as egalitarianism is for some only but never for all
A saying that to today more so than ever to does apply
The truth in it does seem rather hard to deny
In a Human World where your postal code and address if you have such your social status define
Only the privileged few can afford to buy certain brands of wine
In a World where money says more about us than anything else can do
And this applies to everyone including me and you
For equality never a place in humanity
It is now as it always was and always will be
Money says more about you in the World of today
Than anything else can do and this seems sad to say
There is only equality among the privileged few
And this is not saying anything that is new.
