A Stranger In Town

She smiled and said hello on passing my way
Just meeting her did bring some joy to my day
A stranger to me I may never more meet
She carried joy with her on walking the street
Brown eyes and hair to her shoulders wavy and brown
One I had not seen before a stranger in town
A beautiful young woman perhaps in her twenties in her physical prime
Her sort the inspiration of the writers of song, story and rhyme
So beautiful looking yet in her no sign of conceit
People like her are always a pleasure to  meet
A stranger in town she did not seem out of place
With a beautiful smile on her beautiful face
On a grey sunless morning some joy with her she did bring
As is said of a smile it does not cost one a thing.
