An April Day In the Southwest

Though the sun behind gray clouds is hiding away
For April and Autumn quite a typical day
Not warm or cold around eighteen degrees
With only a very slight cool coastal breeze
Blowing up the hill from the saltwater bay
Above the dry paddocks of tall stringy grass the colour of hay
Not everyone like long spells of dry weather in truth one can say
The farmers and gardeners for rain do pray
The long range weather forecast for the southwest is mostly dry
But having this said one does wonder why
In eastern Australia flooding is rife
With huge flood damage to property as well as loss of life
That the weather of late has been acting so strange
May well have something to do with Climate Change.
